Day 1 – Cape Winelands

Full Day Cape Winelands Private Tour

Departing your hotel after breakfast and we travel to the winelands. Savour and learn about world class wines at the award-winning farms of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. Under an hour’s drive from Cape Town your sensory adventure begins. During your visits you will sample many unique South African fine wines and cheeses, and benefit from the knowledge of renown wine experts. The farms themselves are a delight to the eye, some housed in historic buildings with ancient cellars. The estates are vast, covering seemingly endless rolling acres. Lunch is enjoyed in one of the many wine farms (own expense). Late afternoon, check in to your hotel in the heart of the winelands.

Day 2 – Oudtshoorn

Distance: 400km – 5 hrs

Today we Travel the well-known Route 62 with its ravishing scenery and mountain passes to our accommodation located in South Africa’s beautiful Klein Karoo. The charming town of Oudtshoorn is known as the ostrich capital of the world. It is surrounded by numerous ostrich farms and the golden arid landscape of the Karoo. Late afternoon check into our accommodation. Then visit one of the many ostrich farms in the area and get to know more about these flightless birds.

Days 3/4 Knysna

Distance: 100kms / 1.5hrs

Following breakfast, we embark on a journey to explore the renowned Cango Caves. Dive into their depths with a one-hour heritage tour, uncovering their fascinating history and natural wonders. Our adventure then leads us to the picturesque Garden Route. The afternoon is spent exploring the area and enjoying the many optional activities such as Dolphin cruises, Monkeyland, Birds of Eden – one of the worlds largest free flight aviaries and many more (own expense). B – only. L&D own expense.

 

The following day we enjoy a excursion to Featherbed Nature Reserve, situated on the Western Head in Knysna, – a the premier eco-experience on the Garden Route. Including a world renowned buffet lunch at an outdoor restaurant setting under a canopy of Milkwood trees.

Overnight: Knysna Hollow – Breakfast only.

 

Days 5/6/7 Kariega Private Game Reserve

Distance: 400km – 5 hrs

Today we traverse 5hrs to our big 5 private game reserve nested at the end of the garden route. Kariega is renowned for its award-winning safari lodges and villas, all combined with understated luxury and exquisite game viewing that creates life long memories. The following days are spent enjoying morning and afternoon game drives in open 4×4 vehicles in search of the plenty wildlife that reside in this area.

FI Overnight: Kariega River Lodge – FI (Breakfast, lunch dinner & local beverages).

 

Day 8

After breakfast clients are transferred 2hrs from the lodge to Port Elizabeth airport for their onward flight – Breakfast only.

  • Please note alternative arrangements will be made in event of unsuitable weather conditions.
  • For groups of up to 3 people we use a standard 4-seater vehicle. For larger groups we use a large vehicle.
  • Booking is not available until the following day, as we require 24hrs notice.
