Namibia offers some of the most diverse and captivating landscapes on earth. From deserts, sand dunes, canyons, mountains, tribal villages, coastal panoramas, markets, and more wildlife than you can shake a stick at.

Meet 8am at the Weinberg Hotel in Windhoek (which you may care to book into overnight.) After a pre departure briefing, travel the welcoming Camelthorn Kalahari Lodge your base. Day one kicks off with an afternoon game drive among the Kalahari sand dunes in search of the many desert dwelling animals such as giraffes, kudus, zebras, oryx. Return to lodge for dinner.

Distance 320kms – 4hrs
Rise with the sun to take a guided Bushmen walk, experiencing the San culture, ancient traditions and their fascinating desert survival tactics. After breakfast head west to our lodge located on the fringes of the Namib desert. Time out to take a relaxing walk (and maybe a few pre dinner pics.)
Following morning, early start heading deeper into the mesmeric sand dunes. Marvel as the first rays of the sun wash a kaleidoscope of soft changing colours over the undulating dunes and sands.
Onwards to Deadvlei characterised by white clay and dry, black upright camelthorn trees estimated to have been standing for over 900 years. Stroll on the dunes, before returning to the lodge at lunchtime.
A late afternoon visit to the nearby Sesriem canyon, a natural gorge carved millions of years ago by the once mighty Tsauchab River. Enjoy dinner back at the hotel lodge.

The day kicks off with a scenic coastal drive via Solitaire whose bakery boasts of the best apple pie in the desert! Continue on through the Tropic of Capricorn soaking up the stunning scenery of the Gaup and Kuiseb passes before continuing on to our accommodation at The Delight Hotel in Swakopmund. Afternoon free to explore the fascinating German architecture of the town, local markets and galleries and choose which restaurant you’d prefer for dinner (at your expense.)
Next morning depart at 06.00 hours for half day 4×4 excursion to Sandwich Bay. Photo opps include the flamingos at Walvis Bay, the arid riverbed of the Kuiseb delta home to springboks and jackals. Tide permitting, explore the unique wetlands of Sandwich Harbour, before heading home via spectacular high sand dunes in the Namib desert. Return at 10.00hrs. Afternoon at your leisure.

After breakfast enjoy a short drive along the skeleton coast stopping off to view one of the many shipwrecks dotted in the waters. Next head for Damaraland, characterised by sparce vegetation, deeply eroded canyons and mountain ranges including the Brandberg – Namibia’s highest elevation and area known for rare desert elephants. Enroute, encounter local tribes, interact with the ancient Himba tribe and explore their roadside souvenir markets.
Check in at the hilltop Ugab Terrace lodge with breath taking views and unrivalled sunsets.

Distance 200kms – 2hrs
After breakfast head to our next base Etosha Village on the edge of Etosha National Park. Marvel at a salt pan so vast it can be seen from space, hosting over 100 species of mammals including the endangered rhinoceros, elephants, lions, cheetah and prolific birdlife.
A made in heaven location for an afternoon game drive in open safari vehicles, before returning for dinner.
What better way to start the following day than an early morning game drive? Enjoy a full day game safari in open safari vehicles, returning back to the lodge in the late afternoon.

Depart for Okonjima Nature Reserve to visit the Carnivore Care Centre. Learn about the animal vs human conflict and how the African Foundation saves lions, leopards and cheetah from unhappy farmers who have lost their livestock to big cats. The focus is on education and ongoing collaboration with researchers, scientists, farmers and conservation authorities.
Overnight: Okonjima Nature Reserve – plains camp.

Morning departure for Windhoek, stopping enroute to explore some of the local souvenir markets.
Late afternoon check in at The Weinberg hotel in Windhoek for a farewell dinner.
